We went on Friday and took his little couch and sat in the back of the truck. Ash loved it. Well... he mostly loved all the candy we gave him, which in turn gave him a little sugar rush. He was bouncing all over the place. We saw UP and he liked the balloons and dogs.

On the morning of the 4th I took Ash to my Grandma's annual breakfast. It was Tom's only day off for the next few months so we sent him fishing. He is between rotations and when the next starts he works pretty much every day, then he'll start school again which is the same thing.
Ash had fun at breakfast... it was amazing to see him jump right in and integrate into a group of kids that he doesn't know. We don't see all the cousin's kids often, but he jumped in and started playing with them.
After that I took him to the Kaysville parade. We sat with my uncle (also my boss) and his family. Ash LOVED all the trucks (unless they were too loud then I had to hold him). He was so intrigued by the fact they throw candy that he forgot he doesn't really eat it. He would still get out and collect it. In the end he traded it for a bunch of mardi gras beads that one float threw.

We left halfway through the parade. I wasn't looking forward to the water half (where the floats are allowed to spray you with water). Even though Ash kept saying more trucks as we walked away, he was TIRED. I took him to the McDonalds about a minute away and he was asleep before we left the drivethru.
That night we went to Noralyn's for dinner. She had setup a little pool for Ash. The raccoon (yes a raccoon... Noralyn took him in when the mom was killed) also wanted to play in the pool and kept letting the water out.

Asher loves Charlie (Tom's sister Megan's dog) and Charlie loves Asher. I just love that you can say Charlie in a british accent (like Charlie and Lola... google it).

A picture of Tom with the raccoon (because he loves it... mostly because its kind of wild and crazy):

We also went to the fireworks at Holladay park. Ash HATED them. Was terrified. Tom took him for a walk and they ended up just heading back to the truck. We tried to do some small ones at our house on Sunday, but Ash would not allow it. Oh well. He's never liked loud noises... I should have known better.
The best part of the whole weekend... Rory was playing with Ash in the pool and Ash was laughing hysterically. There was a watermelon in there to keep cool and this is what happened:
yes... moreagain.
