I so need a baby girl...

Baby Addi is finally getting some cute little chubby cheeks. Look at this cute pic my dad got with his iphone:

And yes... my dad was probably saying things like "you're such a pretty girl... yes you are!" in baby talk while he took it. He's a sucker for the kids.

Grandpa's work...

We went to grandpa's work (Lagoon) this summer to see the monkey show. This was a WHILE ago. Ash still hasn't forgotten about it. He's constantly asking me "go to grandpa's zoo?"

Grandma Noralyn also still has a kangaroo and had a raccoon for a while. He's going to grow up thinking that all grandparents "own" a zoo.

This one's for the birds...

I'm late on posts lately!!! Been busy. Doing stuff. Like going to the Tracy Aviary!

We went to the Tracy Aviary with Brandon, Elissa, Tyson, Crystal, and Ellee. While the actual Aviary itself wasn't SOOO exciting, it was still fun to go hang out with everyone.

I'm not gonna lie... Ash didn't care THAT much for the birds. Maybe a little at first, but after about a half hour walking around he just really wanted to ride the Liberty Park merry-go-round again. THAT was what he liked about the whole trip.

He also likes his friend Ellee. Have I mentioned before she is adorable?

And spending time with his daddy:

Asher conversations...

As I was cleaning up dinner tonight, my cute munchkin was playing on the couch. He was trying to coax me over to play with him:

Ash: Come play cars.
Me: In one minute.
Ash: Come play with Asher.
Me: Hold on a second.

And out of his cute little mouth:

Ash: Come see me and say hi.

He says this all cute and bubbly. It was adorable. How could I resist? So I sat by him and kept telling me "HI" and then he told me all about his "pal" daddy. He also told me all about how "monsters can't get us (cause they pretend)."

It was a fabulous night.

Trips to McDonalds

There is a McDonalds right down the street from our house. We often walk there and get Ash chicken nuggets and let him play in the playland. It's never a boring trip.

Ash and Tom like to walk together and check everything out:

I usually pull the wagon (better exercise for my fat butt...)

We walk past the hospital and usually see something crazy going on... this time Tom found someone's cat scan just hanging out on the sidewalk:

And then on the other side of the road on the way back we found the prognosis for that scan... she'll be fine.

Ashman was having a good curl hair day:

I think the good hair day gave him some extra confidence to make his way up higher in the playland:

And then he decided to just keep going all the way to the top:

He came back to the bottom via the slide (which he quite enjoyed) and got some crazy static hair. So much for the good hair day.

Asher dictionary...

Fridge = Lid

Not sure why or how this started. Ash has never used the word lid. He only says 'fridge.' If he's playing with something that has a lid and he starts yelling "I need the fridge," now you'll know what he's talking about.

Let the house hunt begin...

Today Ash and I walked through a bunch of houses... it felt like a lot to me... I'm sure Asher thought it felt like a million.

He actually found it to be fun. One or two had toys he could look at. Some had couches that he could jump on (oh you better believe I let him). Most were just empty and he could run around like a mad man.

Hopefully we can find one we like. They were all ok... nothing fabulous, but I guess I need to start thinking about a house with all our stuff. Not just an empty house like they are now. I'm so analytical I forget to see the vision of what it could be.

We'll see what happens!

Asher conversations...

As we were driving Ash was asking me to find some semi trucks (big trucks as he calls them) for him to see. I showed him one and he kept asking for another one.

Me: We will just have to keep our eyes open for another one.
Ash: OK... Asher will just go like this... (as he opens his eyes really BIG)

Another conversation we have been having almost daily:

totally randomly...

Ash: Asher likes fireworks.
Me: Oh really? You like them now? You hated them before.
Ash: Asher likes fireworks.

I've heard "Asher likes fireworks" over and over at the most random times. Like he's trying to convince himself that he is not TERRIFIED of them (which he actually is).

Fun with the spudnut.

We actually did have a lot of fun in Idaho this weekend. Asher loves it there and it makes me happy to make him happy. He also loves my mom and dad so much and it is nice to see them together.

We rode up with my mom and dad. My little electronics nut remembered from last year that grandpa has a DVD player in his truck and immediately wanted a movie. He lasted about 20 minutes and then he slept for most the trip.

I guess some people just aren't cut out for life on the road.

As soon as we got close he woke up and the excitement started. We saw some deer on the way up and he was pretty much bouncing in his seat.

We get there and he heads straight for the rock pile. He loves it.

Of course grandpa heads over to help:

The next morning bright and early my dad heads out to the tractor and Ash follows after. My dad lets him sit in the cab with him and shows him how to work it all.

Its great that he shows him all this stuff... but don't worry Ash totally learns it and can do it himself. The next morning they do the same thing. My dad puts Ash in the seat with him. My dad leans to one side to do something and Ash leans to the other side. To grab the control stick for the bucket. He already knows how to work it so he start raising it up. Obviously it shocked the crap out of my dad and he immediately leans over and grabs the controls. Gotta be careful... he's too smart!

The same goes for the ranger. He can totally turn it off (luckily not on!) and change the gears.

Ash had a lot of fun hanging out with my mom. She is so patient with him and just plays with him.

My brother Tyson and his wife Crystal gave Ash this for his birthday present as we left. It is a marshmellow gun. It shoots out little marshmellows. Ash took a minute to figure it out, but then he was ready to go. Danner loved it. Marshmellows galore for him to eat.

All week before we left Ash had been talking about fishing. He really wanted to use the fishing pole he got for his birthday. Luckily grandpa helped him... but every fish was so strong they broke away. Oh well...

Ash's other favorite buddy is Danner. These two really love each other. Danner normally sleeps with my parents, but he had to sleep right by the side of our bed. Anytime Ash would move he'd lay his head on the bed to see if he would wake up. And whenever Ash whined about anything he'd run over and lick his face to make sure he was ok. Ash's favorite thing to do the entire trip was to throw rocks and dirt clods up in the air so Danner could run and try to catch them. Bizarros.

Ash got a little hot... so I gave him my headband to get the hair out of his face. He prefers to wear it a little differently though:

We had a lot of fun. Wish we could go more. This picture just about sums up the entire trip:

Happy smile. Dirty face.
