We're going to disneyland...

Disneyland with a one year old. Am I a glutton for punishment? It has actually been a blast. Ash is such a people person that he has been excited and loving every second. Everything is new and awesome. He yells at people to get their attention and then just smiles at them. Such a good kid. I think he might be one in a million.

The birthday party...

Ash had his first birthday party at the zoo. Lots of fun. I made puppy paw cakes for him. The little toes were mini cupcakes which he loved... just the right size. He didn't really notice all the animals, but he loved having everyone there (especially grandpa!).

He was so tired by the end that he just feel right asleep on grandpa.

So big...

Holy crap... a whole year has gone by. My baby boy is ONE!

He got to eat some cake... which was more like smash some cake and feed it to dad. That was pretty funny. The cake had a puppy on it which is his favorite thing right now.

He also got a drum (camo of course). He hits on everything so I thought for sure it would be a good present for him. Haha... I was right! He loved it and sat and played it for a half hour. He can actually play it too.

He also does some rock star moves like tap the sticks up above his head. Hilarious!

Good movie...

Sex and the City... it was awesome! But that might be just because I loved the show. Cried when they took it off tv. Tom even liked the movie though.

He's officially a spudnut...

So we took the little guy to Idaho for Memorial Day weekend. To visit grandma and grandpa's little weekend haven in Lava Hot Springs. Ash was so excited. All he wanted to do was go "out" (as he says... which is outside). He loves being out and just seeing all the exciting new things.

It was still a little cold so he had to bundle up to go out. We brought all the camo gear so he would match grandpa. He loves grandpa. They are buddies. He can even say grandpa now. He's always looking to see where grandpa is and if he's watching him.

He also loves the ranger... which is like a four wheeler mixed with a truck. Grandpa takes him for rides and lets him drive. He's even picked up where the key and gear shift are so when he "drives" he can do all the stuff grandpa does, like start it and shift the gears. He is too smart... we will be in trouble soon.

Ash loved Idaho so much that I couldn't get him to go to sleep at night and he would wake up at 6 am ready to go. I guess this means we'll be going back for more...
