Sick of the sickness...

We are starting our third week with a crappy cold. I am ready for summer where there are no colds. This one has been particularly crappy and Ash has been to the doctors twice now. The day after he finished his medicine from the first visit he immediately got a deep hacking cough again.

I did take him to the dog park with grandma noralyn, megan, rachie, zach, and all their dogs. He was in heaven. All the dogs recognized his love for them and they would run right up to him to be petted. One dog would even run up, lick his face, then run away. I don't have the tolerance for dog slobber, but Ash was loving it so much I had to give in and let him do it.

Dates with Grandmas and Grandpa & a Sleepover:

On Friday we had a dinner date with Grandpa Rick and Grandma Mary. Ash gets so excited when he finds out they are coming that he runs around yelling "grandpa" every time a car drives by.

At the restaurant the wait was long and Ash was hungry. So Tom took Ash and purposely stood outside the kitchen until an unsuspecting waitress stopped to chat with Ash. Then Tom says he is just so hungry and wants a roll... of course Ash heads back up front to us with a roll on a plate.

He proceeded to eat almost the entire roll, another one at the table, some chicken, fries, and finally a few bites of grandma's birthday ice cream. More than I've ever seen in my entire life. Of course my parents probably think I starve the poor kid. Faker. He even hates ice cream. Grandpa kept giving him bites... he'd make a funny face and eat it... then open his mouth for more. Bizarre child.

On Sunday Ash had a date with Grandma Noralyn. His very first sleepover (without mommy). I had to work Monday and the daycare was closed for the holiday. Ash got to stay with aunt Rachie. He had a blast and cried for Rachie when we left on Monday. He is taking medicine for his cold and got a little diarrhea from it though. I felt bad for Rachie because he got a sore bum and was mad by the time I got there. She was probably changing dirty diapers all day. Stink. Just another one of Tiny Tim's fun little quirks. His doc says "is there a history of upset stomachs in your families?" Uh... duh. Sorry bud. Genes suck.

Not a bad weekend for the little guy. I love that he loves his grandparents... and I'm sure they love it too (especially grandpa who gets the most adoration).

Someone stole my hat...

And looks pretty cute in it!

Something about Stacy...

Since this is turning into all about Asher... here are a few updates about me!

I got pulled over the other day. On the freeway going 85. The cop said why were you going 80... and I was thinking "holy crap thank goodness he didn't clock me right". I turned on the charm and *whala* no ticket! hooray!

I am also sad I have gained a few winter pounds... crap. Before the baby I used to run a few miles every other day or so. I even did a half marathon (yeah it was like two and a half years ago but I am still very proud of it!!!). Now I am lucky to get a few miles once a week. And everyone knows I have a little candy problem... stink. Its either time to step up the running, or give up the candy. Luckily sunshine is just a few months away and I can get outside and run.

My favorite things of the moment:
1. Naughty Monkey Shoes
2. Diet Mountain Dew
3. BitOhoney candy
4. Vermicelli Saigon Noodle-Salad - Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò - from Cafe Trang (the one in Layton is going to close soon people if you don't start eating there... it is awesome... you will be sad when it is gone. Try the caramel pork, pork in a clay pot, or the Chicken with Flat noodle.)
5. those cinnamon valentine hearts covered in sugar
6. the Chelsea and Violet sale at Dillards (70% off!!!)
7. Facebook... i'm slowly getting hooked.

Ok... two of those are candy... I'm in trouble.

Why I take Fridays off...

This is why I take fridays off work:

I get to see yogart covered faces...

I get to see someone sitting in the fridge...

I get to go fun places...

With fun people...

And spend time with one important little person...

Who it turns out is kind of a bully... At the bounce house yesterday some little 4-5 year old boys were bouncing into him. Ash gave the biggest offender a shove, and then full on tackled him when that didn't work. The 4-5 year old boys decided it was time to leave.

The Kangaroo Zoo was awesome... all the kids loved it. Will definitely be going back.

How we spend a lot of time...

Here is how we spend a lot of time at our house:

Playing with assortment of balls in the Kitchen... consists of Asher collecting all the balls he can find and putting them in the kitchen. Then he finds me and pulls my hand into the kitchen. He pats the floor in one of two very specific places that I am allowed to sit. Then he gives me a few balls and we throw them around.

Playing with stuffed animals on Asher's lovesac... this involves rounding up every stuffed animal possible and putting them on the lovesac. Ash has quite an assortment given that every time he sees one at the store he grabs it, hugs it tightly, and proceeds to act like it's the best stuffed animal in the world. I throw him the middle of the lovesac and he sits and plays. He has to name all the animals, throw a few at me, convince Maisy to join him, then it usually ends with him rolling off the side laughing... while I look on in horror as he hits the ground. He thinks its hilarious though.

Naa Na Na Naa Na

This is so funny... I will try to get a video, but for now...

Ash has picked a favorite song of the moment. It is "So What" by Pink. Every time we get in the car he says "Moosic" then starts going "na na na na na na". He bops his little head during the whole song and just keeps muttering na na over and over. It is hilarious.
