I wanna be like daddy...

Tom plays flag football with his friends and me and Ash always go watch. Asher loves it and usually sits with me on the sidelines and yells GO DAD! He will pump his arms and clap and cheer. It is hilarious to watch (so I usually miss a lot of the game!). The last few times he puts some of the little flags around his waist so he looks like daddy. Then he will just start walking out on the field like it is time for him to go in. So much fun... win or lose we love to go. [Tom is the one in orange shorts behind Ash.]

Me and my buddy...

Here we are being crazy. Asher starts it by being all cute, and then next thing you know I'm acting like a one year old. And yes, that is a scab on his nose. He fell in our driveway. He was holding some rocks (which he loves) and protected them by holding on to them tightly (which means his face got no help). It looked really great for his school pictures at daycare.

One quick thing...

So Asher moved into the next class at daycare now that he can walk. And he brings home artwork. WHAT? My little boy is big enough to make art? We have his crayon drawings hanging in his room, but check these out (the yellow page is stamped with apple halfs):

Is summer over yet?

I'm getting tired! Summer is closing in and for the first time maybe ever I am excited for fall. Summer was just so hectic this year. So many things going on. This weekend we have 2 birthday parties, one company party, and the state fair. Zaaa? I've also had a new web site about every other week. Thank heavens for my Fridays off. I actually find time to clean (most of the time anyways).

Last weekend we went to Idaho for the long weekend (labor day). Tom couldn't go (he's back in school so he works the weekends again) and his mom couldn't go at the last minute (i'll explain later) so it was just me and Ash. I totally burned my fingers on Friday as we were getting ready to go. I called Tom in tears because it hurt so bad and he came home to help me put everything in the car. I was useless. He's such a great hubby (we missed him a lot that weekend!). I had to hold ice the entire 3 hour drive. IB Profen really helped (for anyone who is dumb enough to drop then grab their hair straightener while their son falls off the bathroom cabinet... bad mommy?). Ash had fun though. He loves being outdoors and riding the ranger.

So we capped off that great trip with a round of food poisoning... yeah... tons of fun. On Saturday I ate one small bite (that's it!) of artichoke cheese dip that had sat out too long. My dad a few more bits than I did and we spent Saturday night puking our guts out. Suck. What a trip.

Tom's mom was supposed to come but she got stuck driving halfway to Cali to pick up her baby kangaroo. She's been all over the news lately with it. She keeps it at the nursing home. She had flown it to another nursing home in Cali for a week and when the lady who was bringing it home got on the plane with it they kicked her off. Crazy because Noralyn flies all the time with it. That kangaroo gets mad attention though. She's been on Good Morning America etc because she had it at the home. I guess she's going on Ellen later this year too...

Here are some pics... the pond and fish (yes they are huge)... my cute mom... my cute sister and her hubby... and us playing by the trucks they use to work on the properties.

One more of the cute girl...

One more of Ellee... so adorable.
