Birthday Parties...

A rundown of the birthday festivities:

On Ash's birthday we woke up and I took him to McDonalds for pancakes and sausage (obviously a favorite... see previous post). Grandma Noralyn met us there and brought him an elmo balloon that sings happy birthday everytime it's bumped. He loved all the attention.

For dinner we went to the Mayan... it's a local restaurant that's made to look like a jungle. It has a pool and a big rock wall that divers jump from. Ash thought it was awesome. He ate a lot of refried beans... mostly with his hands:

After we took him to Toys R Us and let him pick out a present. He's been talking about a scooter for days, but we couldn't find one that he could actually do. He spent 20 minutes laying on this couch (but a fire truck version), so it was the lucky winner. Although I think it confirms the fact that we are partly {tpt}.

At home we had cake and sang happy birthday (I'm not embarrassed... it's a known fact I suck at singing):

He doesn't love frosting... so I also made some plain cupcakes.

The next day was his party. We were supposed to have it at the zoo (again... his dad let him pick), but about an hour before the party it started raining like CRAZY! So the zoo was a bust. We ended up having everyone to our house. Before they came Tom fixed a chair that was wobbly... Handy Manny helped (shirtless of course):

The party was fun. Ash got a fishing pole from Grandpa Rick and Grandma Mary. A few eyes were almost lost... but a fisherman was born. He also got a red wagon from Grandma Noralyn, which was also enjoyed by grandpa:

We had "so cupcakes" and used them for more candles and birthday fun (picture stolen from elissa):

Thanks to everyone who braved the storm and came! We love you all. Aunt "Kissta" even came looking all cute and prego. Baby Addi is baking up nice and has about 5 weeks to go. Can't wait.

The birthday stuff was so much funner now that he gets it. I hope Ash enjoyed it all and we can't wait for next year!

Looks like a GREAT day even though it rained. I'm sure Asher loved it! Sorry I missed the shower the other day, it's been crazy with father's day and dad's birthday coming up. Love all your photos, Asher is so cute!
