hello... {*I mean*} GOODBYE summer...

Oh summer... why have you gone by so fast?

It's really not fair.

We've been so busy doing a million things. A few of those being:

Getting stung by a hornet for the first time (on the ear!):

Oh man, was he sad! That crap hurts! Poor kid. Now if he sees any type of bug he freaks out. Can't blame him...

Then we went to Lagoon with Tyson's fam, and some of Crystal's fam. Ellee is so DARING! She just hops on the rides and grins the whole time.

When we got there I put Ash on a ride with her... he thought it might be ok...

an then he FREAKED! I tried the little whales... he yelled "I hate this ride!" over and over. I tried everything... he cried as soon as I put him on and the people running the ride would look at me like "you're really not going to make him ride are you?" And then I'd feel guilty and rescue him before it started.

Finally I realized I was going about it all wrong and let him wander. Then he picked a few rides he would do. He liked the cars, and the train.

He has ridden the merry-go-round a few times, but he was freaking about it. I took him anyway and he looked like this...

until it started and then he was FINE!

He said after it wasn't bad. I knew he would like it. We need to go back and let him try a few more at his own pace. He really had fun and wants to go back sometime soon.

Did you notice Ellee's cute hair?

It always looks this adorable. While I was babysitting her the other day I took them to the bakery and the ladies where like "oh twins!" And I was like no they are cousins (I always get that... they DO look A LOT alike). And they were like "did you do her hair?" And again I was like "no... you see my hair? this one with the messy hippie hair is mine... the other one's mom is a hairstylist... can't you tell?"

We also have been fishing a lot too. Ash loves it now, and since Tom loves it too... well, its just a perfect match.

We went to Idaho again. Ash wanted to fish, but not really at that point because he was busy with everything else... so I tell my dad not to try too hard...

and what happens:

he manages to catch he biggest damn fish ever! He said he picked the ugliest lure, but apparently it wasn't so ugly after all.

After the one we caught died last time, we tried not to keep it out of the water too long. Grandpa let it go, but it managed to die later in the week sometime. They found it the next time (and threw it on shore, where the freaking mountain lion found it and ate it... ummm if I see it, I swear I will crap my pants).

Christa and Addi came, which was awesome.

Addi LOVED the four wheeler. Ash was cool with letting her ride the first few times, but then he was like "umm she wants off" after like 30 seconds. He would rather go fast and zoom, but it was so sweet to take her around as long as he did.

They looked so cute riding around.

You tell Addi to hold on and she just grabs the bar. Then she bounces up and down and blabbers while Ash drives her around.

What she really wanted to do though was play in the dirt. Christa finally put her down and she just had a ball. Getting dirty. She is going to be the cutest tom boy I know.

Grandma Snow and Rachie also came. I love when they come up! Ash loves it too. He was so excited to see Rach.

They tried to catch a lizard, but it was a little too fast.

That's just a little bit of what we've done so far. Ash is already ready to head back to Idaho. I have a feeling we'll be back again soon.

Potty updates...

We are fully switched to underwear (spiderman and hulk are the faves) during the day! It is amazing (and so much cheaper!).

It wasn't really even hard after we made the switch. Ash doesn't really have accidents. The worst is just things like going to the bathroom four times during one grocery trip because its so much fun (barf).

We still do pullups at night. That will be the next goal.

Because he goes in the potty now, he gets to move into the next class at daycare. A class where they learn the alphabet... and have show and tell... and get to use the big kid playground every day. Oh the excitement! Today is the last day with the Preppers (2 year olds), so he took treats for all his friends. He starts on Monday in the new class. Luckily they are moving like 5 kids, including his best buddy Killian, so he'll be right at home!

Asher conversations...

I figured out Ash loves Lime Rickies from Artic Circle, so one day we rode my bike to get pizza for dinner and on the way home I pulled into Artic Circle...

Ash: Are we getting ice cream?
Me: No... I thought you might want a lime ricky...
Ash: Oh. My. Gosh. I'M GETTING A LIME RICKY!!!

Yes, he actually yelled it.

It's the little things that make him so excited.

Bountiful Baskets

Here is a picture of everything that came in our basket one week. It is so much food that my mom and I share one every other week. It costs $15, so for that much we got all this:

It's not Bountiful as in Bountiful where I live, but bountiful as in abundance. They have pickup sites everywhere (including Arizona Nat!). You have to order your basket on Monday night and then pick it up on Saturday morning. Well worth it.

If you want to do it... visit their website: www.bountifulbaskets.org

Baby Addi is ONE!

I'm so far behind on this blog!

In JULY (well over a month ago...) baby Addi turned ONE YEAR OLD!!! Holy crap... how did one year just sneak by? I still remember that cutie just arriving like yesterday.

Here is her birthday party:

all the kids playing...

ashman loves Korben... he always wants to play with him. And both Korben and Hallee are so good with all the kids.

all the little ones wanted to be right in the mix when the presents came out...

Addi actually loved all her presents and got really excited!

Grandma loves all her little ones. The girls are drawn to her to get some love... Ash pretends he doesn't want any, but I think he secretly likes getting snuggled.

And grandpa just loves all the kids. He turns into a big mushball as soon as he sees them.

Oh baby Lyhla... so adorable and sweet. She LOVES her mama. She just smiles as soon as she sees her.

I think someone is ready for their own baby... (or she's just contemplating running away with baby Addi... [just like I always do])

Sergio let all the kids ride his horse...

Ellee loved it. She looked so proud, just riding around...

Ash on the other hand was not so happy about it. He did it once alone, and then he wasn't sure he wanted to do it again, so Ellee jumped on with him. He kept calling Ellee "Jessie" and yelling "we-ha"...

Cute Hallee and Addi...

Happy birthday Addi! I think the source of her adorableness is in those little round cheeks and long ass freaking eyelashes. Holy cow she is cute!

Fishing with Asher...

Every since Idaho, Ash's newest favorite thing to do is fishing. He asks me daily if we can go fishing. Because he asks so much, Tom has started taking him to the local ponds around here. This is about how it goes...

"look mom... snakes!"
"you mean worms... you got worms."
"yeah, snakes..."

"can I have a turn?"

"Um... is my bum dirty?"

"This oughta fix it..."

"ahh... yup, much better."

"this rock? um, I just thought it would look better a little closer to the water."

"I promise this won't scare the fish away..."

"did you see that? it was awesome."

"just poking at the snake in the tree."

"are you taking pictures of me?"

"that snake is out of the tree? even though I'm deathly afraid of snakes... let's catch it!"

"and then we'll touch it..."

Let's just say, it's never boring...

Yikes I'm behind on Pics

I finally dumped my camera and I had 400 new pics... yikes, I'm behind on posting.

Here is Asher playing slip and slide at Grandma Snows with Rach and Megan.

He had a ball. It was a 3D buzz lightyear slide, so you had to wear the 3D goggles for max impact. He looked so funny in them.
