Ash and Em...

It has been so fun to watch the relationship between Ash and Em grow. Asher just loved Emrick right from the start. He was always trying to love on him and help me with him in anyway possible. We had to really push him to stay away from Em a little bit. He got right up in his face and practically mauled him. It kind of made Em feel like this whenever he was around:

See the fear in Em's eyes? Like "wow this kid is close to me again..."

But Ash didn't care and he just kept on loving Em. He always wants him to come lay in his bed for a while at bedtime. He always wants me to put him on the couch by him. He has such patience with Em. He doesn't care if he whines. He will find him a toy and give it to him. He will let Em chew on his favorite toys.

He lets him try to hijack his toys and doesn't even get mad. If Em is near him and he gets on the iPad (one of Em's favorites) then Em just pulls himself right into his lap trying to play. And Ash will quit his game and find the baby piano app for Em to play.

He is always trying to win a smile from Em.

And he has finally found the winner...

Peek a boo. Emers LOVES it. Mostly from Ash, so when he does it Em will just laugh and laugh. It melts my heart to see them smiling at each other. Em has finally decided that Ash is the best big brother in the world and he just grins from ear to ear when he sees him. When we pick up Ash from preschool, Em will just sit and babble to try to get Ash's attention. As soon as Ash looks at him he smiles so big. It's adorable. I can't get enough of the two of them together.

I mean really... how could you resist this cutie?

Ash has also been such a big help that having another baby was cake. Ash used to cry in the car. If Em cries, Ash just leans over and gives him is bink. Ash used to cry while I showered. Now Em just sits with Ash while they play toys and has a ball. Two is just easier than one. Wonder what three would be like?

(I know Tom... but a girl can still wonder.)
